Privacy Policy
How we handle the personal information you share with us.
Obsidian Lab (ABN 39 477 007 175) respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and how to contact us about it.
What we collect
When you submit the enquiry form we collect the details you provide: your name, business name, email address, phone number, website, service interest, approximate advertising spend, service area, timeframe and any message you include. We also record the page you submitted from and the time of submission.
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and performance purposes. This website uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep the site working and to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie notice, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser data for this site. If you accept, we use two analytics services. Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, measures visits, pages viewed, traffic sources and general location, and the data is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. Microsoft Clarity records pages viewed, clicks, scrolling and anonymised session replays, and the data is processed by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Both set their own cookies. What you type into our enquiry form is masked from Clarity recordings. We do not use advertising cookies.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare the marketing audit you requested.
- To follow up about that enquiry, where you have agreed to be contacted.
- To keep our website secure and understand how it performs.
Where it goes
Enquiries are delivered to our customer relationship management system so we can respond and keep a record of the conversation. The website is hosted on Cloudflare. These providers may store data outside Australia. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@obsidianlab.com.au or calling 0478 924 029. If you have a complaint about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
